2x Emmy® Award Winning
Lead Compositor + Creative Director
As a lead compositor at Sinking Ship Entertainment, I’ve had the pleasure of working with an incredible team of talented artists on Emmy® Award-winning live-action VFX series, including Odd Squad (PBS Kids), Ghost Writer (Apple TV+), Jane (Apple TV+), Endlings (Hulu), and Dino Dex (Amazon). Below is my demo reel, featuring some of my favorite live-action compositing work for the Jane Goodall-inspired series Jane on Apple TV+.
Our studio had the opportunity to work on the 3D animated feature Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie As a compositor, I contributed to look development, optimized workflow practices, and handled final shot assembly. Thanks to the popularity of the Sponge Bob franchise, the movie ranked as the #1 English-language film worldwide, with 12.8 million views in its first week and 13.4 million in the second .
I am a two-time Emmy® nominee for Title Design, passionate about every stage of the creative process. I love developing original concepts, creating pitch packages, and working closely with clients, networks, and my team to craft show openings that set the tone and elevate each series or film.
Sandwiched between working at Sinking Ship and Cuppa Coffee I had the pleasure of working with some old and new colleagues on this highly original preschool series. As lead compositor I was tasked with developing the look of this mixed live action/2D animated series.
Cuppa Coffee/ Sesame Workshop
(2012-2013)
A standout moment in my career was getting the rare opportunity to pitch, write, and direct short educational films for Sesame Workshop, a show I grew up watching. Being able to contribute to something that had such an impact on my childhood was both a personal and professional milestone.
I provided a mix of compositing and creative direction for Cuppa Coffee Studios’ Television Series and Commercial departments. Notably, I served as lead compositor on Celebrity Death Match (MTV), Jojo Circus (Disney), Glenn Martin DDS (Nickelodeon), A Very Barry Christmas (CBC), the animated final episode of The Newsroom (CBC), and a range of TV commercials for clients including Coke, HP and Pepsi/Brisk. Additionally, I was involved in pitching and developing pitch packages for both TV and commercial work.
When I first began my career in the film and TV industry in Toronto, I spent many evenings and weekends working on VFX for music videos. I had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible artists, including Bruce Coburn, Emm Gryner, Milosh, and Paul Pfisterer. Each project presented a unique creative challenge, allowing me to experiment with new techniques and develop new skills.
